Marco Felluga has long been one of the top names in the wines of Friuli. Today the Marco Felluga Group exits of 4 wineries, 1 in Tuscany and 3 in Friuli, of which Russiz Superiore was bought in the 1960's. The name comes from the hills, where the winery is situated, being some of the best fields in the very heart of Collio. The Russiz Superiore cover a total of 96 hectares of which 70 are planted with wine. Following the tradition of the area a good 70% are white grapes and the rest red. The actual production of Russiz Superiore reflect this with a production of 7 different white wines, based on the typical grapes of the Friuli, and 3 red wines. Even becoming a big company with the acquisition of Castello di Buttrio in 1996, Marco Felluga has never lost the strict attention of quality. This being proved by the impressive amount of Italian and international awards having been granted the wines not only from Russiz Superiore, but even so of the other 3 houses of Marco Felluga.
