The winery is born in the middle of the 20th century when a marriage unites the two families Rossi and Cantini. Together their economy develops to allow them to buy the actual farm Piombaia and soon it will be time for the third generation to take over.
It is during the boom of the Brunello in the 80's that the structure of today's agriturismo is being taken over. The family realize that the Brunello will be the product of the future and starts modernizing the winery with technology, that today go hand in hand with the traditions of the family, allowing not only to keep the quality of their wines but to improve these.
The lands consist of 210 hectares of olives, cereals and wine. The position on the South-East side of the Montalcino Hill give perfect climatic and geological conditions. The total production of wine is limited in order to assure the level of the wines.

The top wine is the Brunello, aged in tonneaux for 3 years and limited to an annual production of just under 5.000 bottles.
