Al Rocol, Ome

This small family winery has a hundred-year long tradition, but it is only in recent 1996 that the production of wine became a full time occupation. Already since then Al Rocol has marked it's name with the first price won in 1997. The vineyards cover 34 hectares with 9 of these planted according to the regulations of the Consorzio. A particularity for Al Rocol is that their vineyards are terraced, leaving no choice but for handpicking the grapes. All grapes used are of own harvest to control and assure the level of quality.
The most important wines are the two Franciacorta DOCG made by the Metodo Classico.
The Brut distinguish itself by being produced on Chardonnay grapes only and the Satén being slightly less sparkling is the delicate DOCG with a 20% of Pinot Bianco.
Apart from the wine production the family has other activities such as an agriturismo and a small restaurant where the typical dishes of the area and the season are cured with attention.
